FAQs

Why do you publish prices when most production companies will not?

Because you should not have to sit through a discovery call just to learn whether we are in your range. Most shops treat the number as leverage. We would rather you find out in a minute, decide for yourself, and only reach out if it makes sense. If we are too expensive for this project, it’s better that you know now than after two meetings.

Is the estimate from the calculator what I will actually pay?

It is an honest range, not a bait number. It is built from the same rates we quote every day, so most projects land inside it. Once we talk through the details, you get a written scope with a fixed price and an itemized breakdown. That fixed number is what you pay. If something changes the scope later, we tell you what it costs before we do it.

What actually drives the price up or down?

Four things, mostly. How many shoot days it takes, how big a crew the setup needs, how much editing is involved, and how many final cuts you need out of it. A single testimonial with one subject runs $2,500 to $4,000. A full brand story film with multiple locations and a larger crew runs $12,000 to $15,000. Everything else lands between those two poles.

What is included in the price?

Planning, crew, gear, and editing are all in the number you see. That means pre-production and scripting, the shoot day with our team and equipment, color grading, titles and lower thirds, licensed music, and final delivery in the formats you need. There are no surprise kit fees or equipment line items bolted on afterward.

How many rounds of revisions do I get?

Three rounds are included on every edit, which is almost always enough when the scope is clear up front. We build in a review point after the first cut so feedback from your team arrives together rather than in a dozen separate emails over three weeks.

How fast can you turn it around?

Standard delivery is two to four weeks from the shoot day to the final file, and that is included in the base price. If you need it inside a week, expedited adds 25 percent. If you need it in less than a week, rush adds 50 percent. Those surcharges cover the reality of pushing other work aside and putting an editor on it full time.

Do you charge travel fees around the DC area?

No. DC, Northern Virginia, and Maryland are our home region, and there are no travel or mileage fees anywhere in the metro area. Shooting elsewhere in the country typically adds $2,000 to $4,000 to cover flights, lodging, and crew travel time. International work runs $4,000 to $7,000 depending on the logistics.

What if my budget is lower than the estimate?

Tell us the number anyway. There is usually a version of the project that fits, whether that means one shoot day instead of two, a smaller crew, or capturing everything at an event you are already running and cutting several pieces from that footage. We would rather build something that works inside your budget than talk you into something you regret.

Can we get social clips out of the same shoot?

Yes, and it is usually the best value on the whole list. Social cutdowns run $1,500 and use footage we have already captured, so you are paying for editing rather than another shoot day. Most clients who skip this end up wishing they had not, because the main video gets posted once and then sits there.
