Badging and escort requirements come first
A secure campus almost always requires visitor badging for the entire crew in advance, sometimes with a background check turnaround measured in days or weeks, not the morning of. An escort requirement for anyone without a facility badge is common too, which means your point of contact needs to actually plan to walk the crew through the building, not just grant access and disappear.

Some secure facilities restrict certain equipment entirely, particularly anything with wireless transmission capability, in areas handling classified or sensitive information. Confirm your exact gear list with facility security in advance rather than finding out at the front desk that a wireless mic or a drone isn’t allowed past the lobby.

Some facilities require a security review of footage before it leaves the premises, to confirm nothing sensitive was accidentally captured in the background of a shot. Build that review time into your schedule rather than assuming you can wrap and walk out the same way you would from a standard office shoot.
