Case Study: MedDra's Annual Event Branding Video
How a fully remote organization used its one annual in-person gathering to create a brand video that humanizes 24 team members across the world.

The finished piece is built to work as more than a one-time recap, MedDra has used it as ongoing content well beyond the week of the event itself.
MedDra has been fully remote since the pandemic and no longer holds physical office space. Filming a distributed team working from home is a visual dead end, it does not make for compelling footage, and flying a crew between individual homes across multiple countries is not realistic either.
MedDra does hold one annual event where members from around the world gather in a single location. That one gathering was the only real opportunity to capture footage of the team together, and it would not come around again for another year.
Rather than shoot a standard event recap, we used the annual meeting to capture a brand video built around the people themselves. The goal was to humanize an organization that most people only ever encounter as a name, so we spent the gathering capturing individual members from across the world telling their own stories in their own words.
The final video features 24 members total, cut together into a single piece that communicates MedDra’s mission and day-to-day work through the people actually doing it.
Like MedDra, your organization can use an annual meeting or conference to create something more substantial and longer-lasting than a recap video that just says “look what we did last week.” A single well-planned shoot day, timed around a gathering you already have on the calendar, can produce real content for months afterward.
